Our Opinion

A genuine royal club although very understated. Favourite Hole: 5th.

Real Club de Golf de Castiello, Gijón, Asturias

A wonderful parkland course on the side of a hill overlooking the attractive Gijón university.

This is the oldest course in Asturias – the original 9 holes were enlarged to 18 in the 1990s – and has a genuinely natural feel with a lovely layout.

Although it received its ‘Royal’ tag in 2001, Real Castiello is not in the least bit snooty – welcoming to visitors who can also use the delightful old clubhouse and outdoor pool.
