Laid out by the legendary Henry Cotton nearly 50 years ago this is a special golf course.
The focal point is a fairytale château with turrets, battlements, drawbridge, moat and tranquil lake. And surrounding this is a forest with colourful hydrangeas and rhododendrons that skirt narrow fairways with velvet greens protected by pristine white sand bunkers.
It’s a beautiful course and a fair test of golf. Hit it straight and you should be fine … just don’t forget to drink in those views of a château that could be straight out of a Disney film.
After your round relax in the elegant clubhouse or maybe the hotel, all tastefully converted outbuildings of the old estate.
Only a short drive from southern Brittany, it’s definitely worth going those extra few miles for a memorable golfing experience.
