Better known for campsites, family holidays, crêpes and cider – Brittany welcomes the golfer with a sumptuous menu of courses in some wonderful settings.
There’s a top choice of golf breaks in this corner of France. As you might expect there are a number of sea-side links, but many visitors are impressed by the variety and quality of the golf.
On top of that it’s generally uncrowded and un-stuffy, and they’re a comfortable drive from the arrival ports of St Malo, Roscoff, Cherbourg or Caen.
Along the southern coast you’ll find the pretty seaside course at Golf de Cornouaille or the parkland Golf de l’Odet – both just south of the region’s ancient capital, Quimper. Further south there’s more seaside golf at Ploemeur Océan, Baden and Rhuys Kerver, as well as the delightful parkland courses at Val Queven and St Laurent.
