Golf Breaks in Northern Brittany

Brittany has been a favourite with British and Irish visitors for many years. Like Cornwall but much bigger and, whilst easy to get to, definitely somewhere other-worldly.

Highlights

  • Stunning scenery – whether seaside, heathland or tree-lined parkland
  • Crowd-free fairways – lots of courses and fewer French golfers means more space and great value.
  • Off the course check out medieval Dinan or St Malo’s Intramuros – its old walled town
  • An easy drive from St Malo, Roscoff, Cherbourg or Caen

Golf Breaks in Northern Brittany

Brittany has been a favourite with British and Irish visitors for many years. Like Cornwall but much bigger and, whilst easy to get to, definitely somewhere other-worldly. The golf breaks are rather special too!

The rugged northern coast is peppered with fishing ports and sweeping sands, washed by some of the largest tides in Europe. From the Pink Granite Coast around Tregastel in the west to the walled city of St.Malo and medieval Dinan in the east, these places tell tales of brave fisherman, and traders braving the high seas, often defying both the elements and their own law-makers!

Against this back drop, you’ll find some wonderful golf courses, all an easy drive from the ports of St Malo and Roscoff.

For coastal courses there’s the stunning links at Dinard, the spectacular holes at Val André, the scenic fairways of Sables d’Or and St. Cast. Add to this the heathland character and sea-views of St Samson and the beauty of Golf de la Baie, and you’ve got the recipe for the perfect golfing break.

Not far inland, you’ll find the stylish course at Château des Ormes, the forest setting of Golf de St Malo or three courses nearer to the region’s capital Rennes;- La Freslonnière, Cicé Blossac and Rennes St Jacques.
